track every client's deadline in one place.
Doing this one director at a time doesn't scale. We build the tool behind it — upload a client list, pull deadlines from the Companies House API automatically, and send reminders before each date lands. Bespoke compliance dashboards and filing workflows, built by the engineers who run them.
How verification deadlines are calculated
Identity verification became mandatory from 18 November 2025. This tool helps you plan the next step for individual directors and PSCs; it does not confirm that a filing or verification has been completed.
Compare the confirmation statement dates for the companies you direct, then check the filing due dates. If you are also a PSC, your code must be submitted separately for that role. The calculator shows the separate 14-day window for an existing director who is also a PSC.
Live lookup uses the Companies House Public Data API. Public dates can be incomplete, and a date calculation cannot establish your compliance status. Confirm the dates for each role on the register and follow the official identity verification guidance.
Identity verification deadlines — frequently asked questions
When do I need to verify my identity at Companies House?
It depends on your role and when you started it. Existing directors provide their personal code with their next confirmation statement. PSCs have a separate code-submission window. Check the dates on your register entries.
Is the confirmation statement date the filing deadline?
No. The statement date and filing due date are different. A director must be verified when the statement is filed. This tool shows the statement date as a planning date and the filing due date when the API returns it.
What if I am both a director and a PSC of the same company?
Provide your code for both roles. For an existing PSC who is also a director, the PSC submission window runs for 14 days starting the day after the confirmation statement date. Filing early does not move that window.
When does the PSC birth-month rule apply?
It applies to existing PSCs who are not directors of the same company: the window is the first 14 days of the birth month. A person added as a PSC after 18 November 2025 instead supplies the code when added or within 14 days. Check the register for your actual dates.
Do I need to verify separately for every company?
You normally verify your identity once and receive a personal code. You then supply that code for every relevant company role. An upcoming statement date does not tell this tool whether you have already completed a previous obligation.
What if I have missed a deadline?
Check your register entry and contact Companies House or your authorised agent promptly. Do not wait for the end of the transition period. Companies House provides a separate process for requesting a PSC deadline extension.
What does the live lookup cover?
Company lookup reads public company, officer and PSC records. Director-name search returns officer appointments, not PSC-only records, and is limited to 25 appointments. Missing or incomplete data is flagged. PSC deadlines are shown only when supplied by the API; manual dates are estimates.
